Origin in fishing
Oil trading company Klaas de Boer has a long history. The company was founded over a hundred years ago on Urk, at a time when fishing was booming. Klaas de Boer supplied fuels, lubricants, and ship supplies to fishing vessels and quickly distinguished itself by reliability and service. When the construction of the Afsluitdijk altered the shipping route from Urk, the fishing industry moved to the northern ports of the Netherlands, and Klaas de Boer moved along.
Beyond the border
Over the years, the company grew alongside the maritime sector. Shipping changed, engines became more modern, and fuels cleaner. What remained constant is the focus on quality, direct communication, and personal contact.
Still under its own name
Since 2025, a restructuring has taken place within the organization. Klaas de Boer continues to operate under its own name as a trusted supplier of marine fuels.
We daily supply customers in Harlingen, Lauwersoog, Eemshaven, Delfzijl, IJmuiden, Amsterdam, and Emden.
For over a century, we have been ready for our customers. With the same straightforward approach as back then, but with the knowledge and resources of today.
